Annie Burrus

Obituary of Annie Louise Anais Burrus

Annie Louise Anais Burrus was born at 3:00pm on September 11th, 2001 in Houston, Texas. Despite a tragic day for our nation, this was a blessed day for Annie’s family. For the first 10 years of her life Annie lived in Portland, Oregon where she learned to play soccer and the violin; and fell in love with tea parties, dress-up, baking, camping and spending time with her family, especially her dad, Scott, her mom, Louisa, her sister, Maiya, Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Kevin and Aunt Laura, Uncle Gordon and Uncle Chris, and her life-long friends, since birth Julian and Yasmine Wyatt. In 2012 Annie moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where she made more friends, many of whom remained part of her life. In 2014, Annie moved to San Diego, CA. Annie loved spending time with her friends, going to the beach, and expressed her creativity through drawing and cosmetology. Her goal was to eventually become a professional cosmetologist or open her own nail studio. Annie’s favorite place in the world was Rocky Point, Mexico where she could be free and would often meet her extended Wyatt family. Despite living with a life-long illness that caused her unspeakable pain, Annie was characterized as being genuinely loving and happy. Annie’s pain ended on 11/25/21 at age 20. She will never be forgotten. Donations in Annie’s memory can be made to the San Diego Chapter of NAMI (https://namisandiego.org/) or the San Diego Center for Children (https://www.centerforchildren.org/)
