Obituary of Daniel Philip Lankford
Daniel “Doochie” Lankford passed away 08/05/2019. He leaves behind his beloved mother, Marie Wright, his brothers and sisters; Melvin Robinson, June Williams, Lanita Woodson, Eric Lankford, Johnny Lankford, and Satanas Jackson, along with his cherished aunt, June Bowden, and his adored aunt, Alice Washington, and his many cousins, nephews, and nieces and friends. Daniel spent most of his life in Chicago, IL. He was caring, giving, popular and social. He loved people and loved to help people. He was slow to anger and quick to forgive. Daniel never met a stranger. Everyone was his friend. He would (and frequently did) give everything he owned to anyone he felt was in need.
Daniel had an amazing ability to fix anything and everything. He was also an “ideas” man and an inventor. He was always thinking of things to invent that would help others. If anyone needed help, they asked for “Doochie” to help. He also had a desire to teach others how to perform repairs. He had a quick smile and an optimistic outlook on life. While we miss him so much already, we know he is reunited with his son, Danny. “Doochie is loved and will be missed every day of our lives.
