Obituary of Frank Perrotti

Frank passed away on July 22, 2019 at his home in San Diego, CA and was surrounded by family. He was 76 years old.

Frank married his high school sweetheart, Lilyan, in October of 1963 at St. Michael’s Church in Brooklyn, NY. They spent 56 years together and raised a beautiful family, which includes two beautiful daughters, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild (on the way!). He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone who knew him.

Frank spent his professional life as a financial advisor at M. L. Stern & Company where he touched the lives of clients and colleagues. When Frank retired in 2017, he turned his successful business over to his grandson, Zachary, who is following in his footsteps.

Frank enjoyed being out on his boat, golfing, traveling, grabbing a hot dog or slice of pizza with Shondraya but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his compassionate spirit, his sense of humor and his infectious smile.c

He is survived by his wife Lilyan, his two daughters Alicia (Kevin) and Melissa (Dean), and his six grandchildren Amanda (Rock), Zachary, Molly, Joseph, Lily, and Sophie.

There are many horrible side’s to Alzheimer’s & Dementia, one being extreme anxiety & hallucinations during the evenings, aka sundowners.  Frank had been on hospice since Christmas and although Lyl was his primary caregiver, we were lucky enough to have Apreva Hospice by their side the whole way.  In lieu of flowers, we have decided to collect weighted companions – sounds strange but if you have ever been around a loved one experiencing sundowners, its terrifying for all involved.  We will collect these companions and donate them to Apreva.
