Obituary of Marvin Walter Goff

Marvin Walter Goff, 65, of Hanford, California, passed away in his daughter's home on January 7, 2019 after a tough fight with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at Marvin's home in Hanford, CA on February 17th at 1:00 pm.

 

Marvin was born in El Monte, California to Marvin and Joan Goff on November 8, 1953. Marvin attended various elementary schools in the valley and began working as a roofer at age 13. Marvin enlisted in the Army at the age of 19 as an Army tank driver and completed a tour in Germany.  After discharging from the Army, he returned to Hanford, CA where he began work at the Kingsburg Cotton Oil Seed Company. Marvin eventually went back to work doing what he loved to do best- roofing. He was the best father, brother, and friend that anyone could ask for. He was a kind-hearted man who loved his family and loved his country.

 

Marvin is survived by his daughters Audrey Snyder and Ashley Titus (Cesar), his granddaughters Makennah Titus, Ryley Snyder, and grandson Tysen Snyder. Marvin is also survived by his brother Carl (Tammy) Goff, Jimmy Goff, Cindy (Todd) Erickson, Robert (Lisa) Goff, Randi Sanders, and Sandra (Ed) Thompson. Marvin is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
