Obituary of Joyce Ann Kerr

KERR, JOYCE ANN (ELDER) of Flint, MI, age 74 died Friday, December 7, 2018 at Sharp Lakeview Hospice in La Mesa CA

A memorial service will held at Hill Road Bapist Church, 3500 W. Hill Rd. Fint MI on January 26th, 2019 at 2pm. A social luncheon to follow for Family and guests.

Joyce was born on October 20th, 1944, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Donald and Roberta (Varner) Elder.

Joyce, a retired US Postal carrier in San Diego CA, had a passion for her family and life. She was a fabulous cook and was known for her sweet potato pies, sense of humor and compassion for others.

She is survived by her three sons: Barry Samuelson, Flint MI, Larry & Danny Ho Samuelson, Augusta GA and Charles & Suzanna Raymond, El Cajon CA; her sister, Donna (Elder) & Fred Marshall, Flint MI and brothers, John Elder, White Lake MI and Lee & Linda Elder, Marshalltown IA, and two grandsons: Mason & Logan Raymond, El Cajon CA.

She was preceded in death by her husbands;Thomas Kerr, Foley AL and Charles Raymond II, White Plains NY, son Perry Samuelson, Phoenix AZ,  brothers, Bobby Elder,  Linden MI,  Burley Elder, Port Huron MI, David Elder, Flint MI and sister, Katherine Mitchell (Elder), Otter Lake MI.
