Obituary of Mildred Louise Davis

Mildred “Mickie” Davis leaves behind her love of 68 years, Hubert “Bud” Davis, her children Diana Wright, Bill Davis, Janet George and their spouses, as well as her seven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She loved her family and fought hard to be here as long as she could.  November 19th, in the company of family, she went to sleep and entered into Glory.

She was born Mildred Louise Kleinschmidt, here in San Diego.  She graduated from San Diego High School in 1950 and married Bud soon after.

Mickie and Bud shared many adventures traveling and exploring together.  They were partners in many projects like landscaping, masonry, mining and construction.

She was a woman of many talents who excelled at whatever she put her mind to, be it gardening, wood working, jewelry making, painting or cooking.

Mickie was fun and sassy.  She loved well and was well loved.  She will be missed and fondly remembered by all.

Her memorial service will be held Sunday, January 6th at College Avenue Baptist Church 4747 College Ave, San Diego, 92115.

“If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord.  So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord, for this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that He might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.”  Romans 14:8-9
