Last week we said good by to Gladys... Gladys was my neighbor and good'ole friend. We would spend many a weekend morning chatting sports over a much needed cup of coffee. She was a real seewheart that had time for everyone and loved all aminals. Only if you are a good person would she let you be in her extended family, so her home was always full family and friends. Gladys and I would take the occasional trip to Walmart where she enjoyed shopping, though not if there were a Kmart close by. Gladys always had a lot of "Gitty-up-go", and was often on the move. This was evident by pictures she had of her favorite blue Toyota pickup truck. Be at Peace dear.

I met Gladys the 1st day I moved into Bay Ho in 1999. She was coming down the stairs with a bunch of groceries, and I swung into action quickly to help her with the bags. She "adopted" me on the spot, and I adopted her as well. I soon met her daughter Lisa, who became my Best Friend in San Diego during my time there. What a wonderful family. I consider myself to be very lucky to have met and spent time with them. Gladys and I shared a commom Musical thread--- Mine-the Texas Tornadoes, of whom Freddie Fender was a member, whom Gladys adored as a singer. As a Group, we all went to several Freddie Fender shows in SD. I will always remember Gladys' smile and gentle nature. I will remember her as the title of her favorite Freddie Fender song: "Before the next teardrop falls". My teardrops fall for you, Gladys. Rest in Peace, dear.
