Chuck Richey was one of the finest men I have ever known. His life changed mine. He has inspired me to be a better man. What else can you ask from a man, except to stay around a lot longer! He will be missed so much by so many, but we know we will seem him again in Heaven, and he will have made it a better place too, if that is indeed even possible. Yeah!!! I wrote this Monday afternoon, and was hoping to find a place to share it. This seems like the place (l ; Long Goodbyes We lost our dear friend Chuck, just the other day, He took his time, like he always did, to be getting on his way, It was in his nature to linger, to never part to soon, There was always something left to say, a few more things to do, He always gave 100% to everything in life, Worked hard to make a living for his crew, his children, his wife, That wasn't all, he also gave to his church and his ministry, Of caring for those less fortunate in the Tijuana community, His illness came on quickly, but lasted many years, We had our time to say goodbye, to laugh, to shed our tears, It made me think, that all the times we greet those with hello, Is a way of saying a long goodbye, before we all must go. Chuck always took the long road, everywhere he went, Wanted to see what was down that path, over the hill, around the bend, I often wondered why it mattered so much, but now it’s plain as day, Somehow he knew, he might not get a chance, to ever get back that way, Please take a lesson from a man, who knew the important things in life, Were loving and living to the fullest, and of saying long goodbyes! With love and sincere sympathy, Clark

All who knew Chuck were blessed. He was such a great example of a godly man who was here to serve. We will all miss him so much and he will always have a special place in our hearts. What a blessing to know he is now in heaven and pain free. You are all in my prayers.

Chuck was one of the finest men I have had the pleasure of knowing. He lived out his faith, not just at church, but throughout the greater San Diego community and across our southern border into Mexico. When he saw people in need he would do everything in his power to meet that need… from building homes and giving away clothes, furniture and food in Mexico to buying lunch for the homeless in our beach communities. He was an inspiration to all in his practical examples of Christianity… he was an inspiration in how he battled cancer and kept such a positive attitude… he was an inspiration in how he faced death with courage and faith. I loved him as a fellow "Iron Man." "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17 My family will miss him dearly. Greg, Mari, Kylia, Janali and Geneva
