Obituary of Betty Ruth Castro

With great sadness our beautiful Mommy and Grandmother passed away in her sleep on Sunday November 4, 2018 . She was 87 years young . She fought a good fight and was surrounded by love. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren fiercely as well as our close family of friends. We will never forget her. Like her favorite singer Sinatra she lived life her way ! Her quick wit, strength, generosity, sassiness and no -nonsense attitude will always be remembered. She will live in our hearts forever. We know she is at peace in the loving arms of God. Heaven has acquired a new Angel. Betty Ruth owned and operated a Day Care for many years . She loved all the children as if they were her own grandchildren . She made a difference to many who had the opportunity to know her. She was a voracious reader. Her favorite books were Biographies. She also liked all the Hollywood gossip magazines . She was nicknamed Hollywood Betty for her insiders knowledge of the Stars ! She loved a good movie and her favorite genre was the “Mafia” Movies. She is survived by her children Robbin Scholle, Cathy Osberg (Gary Osberg) Juana Castro and Candice Moore (Robert Moore). Her grandchildren Ryan Scholle , Brooke Rauch (Adam Rauch) Gary Pete Osberg, Christina Luerson (Chris Luerson)Erin Guzman (David Guzman) Jolynn Boyer (Brian Boyer) ,Phoebe Hofer (William Hofer) and her great Grandchildren Quinn Rauch , Emerson Rauch , Jake Guzman and Ava Guzman. Her adorable dog Sinatra. Next time you enjoy a Dewars , we ask that you remember our Betty Ruth and toast her “knockers up “ She will know what you mean. The family is hosting a Celebration of her Life Sunday 11/25/2018 2590 Greyling Drive San Diego , Ca 92123 From 12-4pm
