Obituary of Teresa Ann Grimaldo

Teresa entered this life on January 31, 1963 in La Mesa, California and entered into rest on July 1, 2018 at the age of 55 years in Chula Vista, California. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert, sons Richard & Brandon Schmieg, and son Nickolas Grimaldo. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Ruth Delia. Teresa resided in San Diego County, California for the past four years. After her schooling at Bell Junior High in San Diego, Mount Miguel High School in Spring Valley, and some courses at Southwestern College in Chula Vista, she proceeded to work as a deli clerk, bakery clerk, and also child nutrition worker. As a 22-year Lymphoma survivor, Teresa participated in the “Light the Night” walk (LLS event). She also was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, and active church member. Some of her hobbies included swimming, traveling, spending time at the ocean, painting, bike riding, watching movies, listening to music, socializing, volunteering, and enjoying arts and crafts. Teresa lived a simple life. She loved her family, she loved her church, and she was a light to everyone around her. She was always positive, regardless of her 6 cancer diagnoses over 22 years. She fought to survive and thrive for her kids and husband. She will leave a legacy of joy, kindness, compassion, and generosity towards those who were less fortunate. Teresa, rest in peace with our Savior, Jesus Christ. A celebration of life service will be held at Pathways Christian Church located at 9626 Carlton Hills Blvd, Santee, CA 92071 on July 13, 2018 at 6:30 pm.
