Obituary of Raul Flores Fuentes
Raul Flores Fuentes is a husband, father, brother, son, friend,
Marine, and most of all a phenomenal musician. He was born in
Harlingen Texas and spent most of his time at his Grandparent’s
ranch. At the age of 7 the family moved to Aurora, Illinois and
after high school he enlisted with the Marines. He served his
country and was able to enjoy traveling around the world. In
1979 he was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California and in
1980 Raul was blessed to meet his now and forever wife Maria
Del Carmen Guerra Fuentes. He became a family man with his
daughters Inez, Jessica and son Lil Raul.
Making his life in San Diego, he worked for General Dynamics
building airplanes. Raul loved playing the piano in the band and
making music. He always stayed in school and his favorite class
was acting. He always did what he loved and believed in
learning at every opportunity.
The highlight of his life was spending time with his grandkids
and family. With five grandchildren to keep him busy by
teaching them music, making music, telling them old school
stories, attend their sport events and just hanging out. He loved
being on the phone talking to his sister’s, nephews, and nieces.
Raul is a loving, caring, very extra, funny, dramatic,
enthusiastic, positive and his silly self. He will be deeply missed
and forever in our hearts.
