In life you have very few that you can call friends. Steve was one of those that you could call a true friend.
I had the privilege of working with Steve on many projects. Steve was great to work with around the church. If you were working with something different, he would ask if you needed any help.
Steve did a lot of work around the church that most people did not see, (running cables, upgrading computers, and installing security cameras). Steve spent countless hours with no pay, until the job was done. If you had a computer problem, he was always there to help.
What I remember the most about Steve, his willingness to work until the job was finished, his friendliness, above all I can still see his smiling face.
When I go to be with the Lord, Steve will be one of the first, I look for. I know where I can find him. Not at the Pearly Gates, not at the walls of Jasper, not on the streets of gold, but worshipping at Jesus’ feet.
