I’m watching the Scottish play…. Thoughts of my middle school flashed in my memory…seventh or eigth grade English class at CCPAA…. Mr Y’s incredible storytelling…. he was such an amazing teacher. I miss him dearly. Sending my love to his family!!

Ray and I attended the same schools from kindergarten until high school. He is a child of light and lithe spirit. To know him was to have a friend. I wish he could have stayed in this earthly realm much longer.

Oh the theatre, the theater...Ray is putting together plays and hanging out with Frodo Baggins and the Fellowship of the Rings. Ray was a wonderful cousin, father, friend, brother, son, etc., etc. He was always a good sport at family affairs. He luved his Belle so without boundaries. Just knowing him was fun. I admired his kindness, tenacity, being a bit weirdo LOL. My heart goes out to the whole family especially to Mel ~ his Pride and Joy 4EVER and ever...You will be missed for so many wonderful qualities, too long to list, but those who knew you Know!!! All my Love, YNecocheaH <3

Beloved Brother. Sigh... This was not supposed to happen. You were supposed to be at my funeral. I am the older brother. This is very difficult for me. What are my fondest memories? There are so many. Playing tackle football in our living room when we were kids (mom and dad were not happy), watching you in Junior Musical Theater performances (you will always be the better actor), The Louis Louisan empire which led to our stellar achievement in D&D, the Smiling King Dungeon including the dragon Zillizag. Your love of theater especially the early years at Coronado HIgh School when you were in COSA. I could go on and on and on. I shall miss you my brother. Until we meet again ...

I am still trying to process the loss of this wonderful, kind and funny man. Friends since we were 18, I will cherish the memories of him always. My love to his Carmela, Sheryl and the rest of the Yannaccone clan. I am honored to have known him and had him in my life...

Dearest Ray "not the mommy",
All of this is so unreal. We were suppose to be parents and grandparents together. I can't imagine a future without you but will do as you asked and be the best parent I can for the both of us, standing guard over our most precious achievement together.
Thank you for being a great dad to our daughter. Thank you for being my friend. I will always love you, I will keep the traditions ...

I met Ray when we both taught at the Children’s Creative and Performing Arts high school. I was lucky enough to know him for 25 years. He was a true friend; generous, always ready to listen, and always supportive.

I have learned at a time like this there is really nothing that can be said to ease your heartbreak. So consider this is me, Aunt Sherri, with my arms wrapped around you in a big, long hug. Love to all.

I worked with Ray for 18 years at Coronado High. His classroom was a safe home away from home for many students and he connected especially with students with quirky, creative, genius perspectives and talents. I loved performing improv with him and students on occasion, and listening to his (loud) literary deep dives. Ray was unfailingly kind and above all, a devoted dad. Sending my love to Carmela and his family, friends, and former students. ~Jenny Moore
