Obituary of Kathleen Christine Mary Woolston

Kathleen Mary Woolston, 89, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at home, surrounded by loved ones. Born January 19, 1931 in New York, she lived a full life with her 7 children and many grand and great grandchildren. She devoted her life to raising her children and rescuing animals. A lover of all animals, she was a devout vegetarian and would go out of her way to help any animal in need. She adopted her last cat, Precious, at the age of 89. She was a fan of old Hollywood, particularly Marilyn Monroe, believing they could be sisters. She loved taking road trips with her son Freddy and spending holidays with all of her children and grandchildren. Crossword puzzles were a favorite hobby, which she would often do while watching old reruns of the Andy Griffith Show. No day was complete without her spot of tea. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her 6 children, Russell, Ronald , Richard, Barbara, Coleen, Ann, as well as 9 grandchildren (Tana, Jeffrey, Josh, Heather, Brandon, Thomas, Melissa, Amanda, Jimmy, and Kayla) and many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Freddy.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to the Helen Woodward Animal Center so that Kathleen’s legacy of helping animals can live on.
