I was blessed to have known and work with the entire Lewis family while attending Lindley Ave Baptist. My favorite memories of Rick are his ever present smile and beautiful singing voice . It was a joy to hear him featured in the choir. He was always there ready to help out at the school and church. I remember the nights he spent resurfacing and polishing the floors of the classroom, it was just one of his ways of giving back. The many times I was able to go out and eat dinner with him and the family, lots of Sizzler time. My favorite memory is the day Judy gave birth to Amanda and Josh. He had come to pick up the Heather, Steve and Rick from school. As he was walking down the walkway he had the biggest smile on his face. So I asked him "What did you have a boy or a girl? "and his head was bobbing up down on both. What a joyful, giggy smile, so happy and feeling so blessed to become the father of unexpected twins. His family and his love of the Lord always graced his face. I know you are up there singing those beautiful songs. Rest in peace my dear beautiful man and know that you had such an amazing impact on those who were given the chance to know you. My heart goes out to his family, hugs and prayers to you all.
