                                                               JOHN WILLIAM DALY

                                                       10/ 03 /1936---------06 / 01/2020

“ GOD SAW I WAS GETTING TIRED, HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND ME AND SAID, ‘COME WITH ME, I ONLY TAKE THE BEST’.

JOHN DIED PEACEFULLY AT HOME. NO PAIN AT ALL. ALL HE DID WAS SAY , “ I LOVE YOU “ AND TAKE TWO SHORT, NICE BREATHS, AND PASSED ON. HIS LEUKEMIA FINALLY TOOK HIM AWAY FROM US.

JOHN, THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, WAS BORN AN AMERICAN CITIZEN IN THE PANAMA CANAL ZONE IN 1936. SON OF HUGH FRANCIS DALY AND ROSA ESBEDA MURCIA DALY. THEY MOVED TO SAN DIEGO,CA WHERE HIS DAD WAS STATIONED IN THE NAVY.

JOHN SERVED IN THE AIR FORCE ON JET ENGINE AIRCRAFTS. AFTER HIS SERVICE, HE STARTED WORKING FOR NORTH ISLAND NAVAL AIR STATION IN CORONADO, CA. HE STARTED AS A JET ENGINE MECHANIC AND WORKED HIS WAY UP TO AN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER TECHNICIAN. AFTER OVER 40 YEARS , HE RETIRED IN 2004.

JOHN MARRIED ME, ANN MARIE JANIAK, IN 1975 IN LAS VEGAS AND A FEW MONTHS LATER WE HAD OUR CHURCH WEDDING AT ST. JOHN OF THE CROSS IN LEMON GROVE,CA . WE HAVE BEEN MARRIED 45 YEARS AND WE ARE EACH OTHERS’ ‘PEARL BEYOND VALUE’.

DURING HIS 5 YRS OF CANCER, WE WERE STILL ABLE TO ENJOY TWO PRINCESS CRUISES AND A TRIP TO HAWAII. SO HE WAS REALLY ENJOYING HIS LIFE TO THE FULLEST.

OUR 4 CHILDREN WERE THE JOY OF HIS LIFE. JOHN WAS MOST PROUD WHEN HE TAUGHT THEM TO DRIVE. DAN WAS BORN IN 1977, DAVID 1979, DEBORAH 1981 AND DOMINIC 1982. HE LOVED TAKING THEM TO ALL THEIR SCHOOL ACTIVITIES AND THEN FOR A SNACK AFTERWARDS, USUALLY AT FOSTER FREEZE. THESE WERE MEMORIES THAT LASTED A LIFETIME FOR HIM,

TWO OF OUR GRANDCHILDREN, THAT HE HAD SO MUCH CONTACT WITH SINCE THEIR BIRTH, WAS ARIA ANND ALYSSA, THE TWIN DAUGHTERS OF DOMINIC AND AILEEN. THEY WERE SUCH A JOY TO JOHN EVEN WHEN THE LEUKEMIA TOOK A BIG HOLD OF HIM. HE SAID THE ONLY REGRET THAT HE HAD WAS THAT HE WASN’T GOING TO BE THERE AS THEY GREW UP. DUE TO THINGS IN LIFE THAT HAPPENED, WE NEVER GOT TO REALLY SPEND TIME WITH THE OTHER  GRANDCHILDREN.

GOD HAS A PLAN FOR ALL OF US. JOHN HAS ALWAYS BEEN A MAN OF FAITH. HE WAS THE KINDEST, MOST LOVING PERSON AND I WISH THAT EVERRYONE COULD HAVE KNOWN HIM. ALL WHO DID KNOW HIM, WERE VERY LUCKY. WE WILL REMEMBER ALL THE STORIES HE LOVED TO TELL OVER AND OVER AND THOSE DADISMS WERE WONDERFUL.

JOHN WAS THE BEST HUSBAND, FATHER, AND GRANDFATHER. IT’S SO HARD TO SAY GOOD BYE TO SOMEONE SO LOVED. YOU WILL BE MISSED, MY DEAREST, AND I KNOW HE IS LOOKING DOWN ON US WITH HIS BEAUTIFUL, BIG SMILE. YOU ARE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS TILL WE MEET AGAIN. LOVE YOU, STO-LAT, AND AIM HIGH. YOUR SPIRIT IS ALL AROUND US.
