Obituary of Jo Ann Little
Jo Ann went to be with the Lord on January 15th, 2020 with family by her side. She was 64
She was born to the late John F. and Bertha L. Dolan on June 3rd, 1955 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island and was raised in San Diego, California.
Soon after Jo Ann graduated from Madison High School in Clairemont in 1973, she married and gave birth to her two daughters. She was a self-taught master seamstress and loved using her talents to bring joy to her family & friends. She spoiled everyone on birthdays and other special events with handmade items we will always cherish. Jo Ann was very close with her loved ones; she enjoyed writing letters and emails before her life-changing illness in 2005. She was our family GLUE. Jo Ann's (late) husband, William Duane Little pre deceased her by 4 ½ years. He passed away on June 4th, 2015.
Everyone who loved Jo Ann knew she was a HUGE Charger fan and was extremely disappointed to see the team leave their original home of San Diego.
Although we are grieving her departure, we are glad her suffering has come to an end. No more pain; no more sorrow. We will miss her very much.
She is survived by her mother, Bertha L. Dolan of Santee, California, sister Pamela M. Verkest of Virginia Beach, Virginia, brother Kenneth J. Dolan of Sun City, California, sister Patti A. Rebello and brother-in-law Michael F. Rebello of San Diego, California, daughter Amber M. Costello of El Cajon, California, daughter Brandy D. Sheets of Sonora, California, as well as five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, an Aunt, two nephews, and many cousins.
The viewing and service will be held on January 24th, 2020 from 4pm to 8pm at Legacy Funeral and Cremation Care at 7043 University Ave, La Mesa, CA 91942.
Jo Ann will be buried with her husband, Duane, at Miramar National Cemetery at a later date.
