Deepest belated condolences to all of Mike’s family. Mike was the radioman in my first platoon at SEAL Team ONE. I had to smile when I saw his picture with that big smile and a radio in his lap. He is an amazing communicator! He and I spent a lot of time together on deployment making HF half wave dipole antennas for the PRC 104 and practicing arnis (Philippine stick fighting). I cried when I read the beautiful obit as all the memories I have of Mike came flooding back. When it came to borrowing Copenhagen snuff, he always said “If you only take half, there’s always half left.” God bless and God speed.

I met Mike when I was 14 I think, in Key West. He was such a great friend. Always had time for me, always loved his family and those kids. We stayed in touch over the years. I am so happy for the time and joy he gave to me. Always and forever! -Rene

I knew Michael in 1972 in Jonesborough Tn. We dated. He was a special person. Full of life. We didn’t talk for years. We connected on fb. I also have cancer. We shared memories back in Tn. Many years ago. He told me about his wife & kids. He was so proud of all of them. He loved his family. He talked about wanting to come back to visit Tn to see all the mountains. He is such a sweet man. A kind soul. A funny uplifting man. I just now saw this. I am so mad at myself that I didn’t get to say goodbye. The last time we spoke was at Christmas I think. We messaged by fb. He is not in pain anymore. Prayers & thoughts for your family. Love DeAnna
