Words will never truly explain how much he will be missed. The minute I met Mr. Selzer I knew he would be someone I would learn from not only in the typical facts but also way beyond. Thru the years I realized he was like family and I would be so blessed to have known him. I will always cherish the times he would take to show me something he had learned or a new bird house he made. He was a man that I admire for so many things and will miss him dearly....

Uncle George was a fine man, he was a gentlemen. His kind nature made him a pleasure to be around and to talk to. I remember talking with him about history, he was remarkable and filled with so much information. I loved learning from him about what ever topic we fell upon. About 10 years ago he made a beautiful red and white birdhouse for me to take back to the family. The kids, Rusty and I found the perfect tree in our front yard for the birdhouse; it was a young tree. We placed the birdhouse in that tree in a way that it could rest securely and nicely on the branches. Well today that young tree is a fully grown tree. The beautiful red and white birdhouse stil rests on the very branches that we placed it on that day. The branches grew, and as they grew, they grew around the birdhouse that it ibecame part of the tree. It is really quite amazing and fun to look at. Every time I walked past the ttree, i would think of uncle George. His gift, a special little red and white birdhouse will remain in that tree, maybe for a lifetime. His simple gift will never be forgotten as Uncle George will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace Uncle George.

George was the model of a good kind and honest man. He was humble and kind and never had a bad word for anyone he met. He was one of the most interesting people to talk to from all of the knowledge he gained from his extensive reading. I never had a conversation with him where I didn't learn something. George was the ultimate soccer fan and he followed the team in San Diego as well as those teams in the Bundesliga. I know how difficult it was for George in the last year or 2. George was truly loved by his wife Welda and his Children and Grand Children as well as his nieces and nephews and we all will miss his great smile and joy to be around. God Bless Him as he is now with the Lord in peaceful eternity watching over us all. I am sure there will be lots of birdhouses there now that George is a resident.
