Obituary of Trinidad Leon Chamberlain

Sis. Trinidad Leon Chamberlain, known to many as “Trinie,” passed away on May 31st, 2018, at the age of 88 years. Trini was born November 27th, 1929 to Ignacio and Isabel Leon. As a native of San Diego, Sis. Chamberlain attended San Diego High School and graduated in 1947. She met her husband Charles Chamberlain, Jr “Chuck” at the USO in downtown San Diego. They married in 1953 in Yuma, AZ and raised 5 children. She received the gift of the Holy Ghost in 1954, with her husband receiving the Holy Ghost in 1955, thus beginning their path serving God. In 1962 they helped build the Pentecostal Church in Imperial Beach, where her husband pastored for 5 years, from there they went on to work in Spring Valley where her husband pastored for 7 years. She served as a minister’s wife for many years and enjoyed living for the Lord. She served as Sunday school teacher, Ladies Auxiliary Leader and led many bake sales and fund raisers for the Church. She became a member of Revival Tabernacle, now known as the Anchor Church in 1975. She is preceded in death by siblings Antonio, Ignacio, Manuel, and George and also by her son Carl. She is survived by her siblings, Alice, Joe and Johnny, her sons Charlie, Paul, Stephen and daughter Lori, and by her 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. There will be a viewing on Wednesday June 6th, 2018 between 4pm and 8pm and a Memorial Service in honor of Trinidad Leon Chamberlain will be held at 1pm, on Thursday, June 7th, at The Anchor Church, 1765 Pentecost Way, San Diego CA 92105 with Pastor James Larson officiating. Food and fellowship to follow immediately after the memorial service in the Annex. Memorial donations in memory of Sis.
