Obituary of Marshall Steven Pullman

Steve-o (Marshall Steven) Pullman passed away suddenly of a heart attack in La Jolla on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 at the young age of 63. La Jolla was his home away from home and he had many cherished friends he met there and spent long hours–sharing his always entertaining stories peppered with laughter, positive contagious energy and joy of life. Steve was born on August 21, 1954 in Pasadena. He graduated from Hoover High School in San Diego in 1973 and spent most of his life in this beautiful city. Steve loved the sun, the beach, fancy cars and yachts. In his youth he loved riding motorcycles and was an expert water and snow skier. Later he enjoyed golfing and deep sea fishing with his son, brother and friends. Steve spent most of his working life as a heavy equipment operator. However, his real passion was trying to find a way to make it big; he was truly an entrepreneur at heart and created several inventions including the Trash Caddy and Cooler Caddy and this past year a phone charger called “Last Call”. He recently became a certified disaster insurance broker and in the 1980’s he owned Steve’s Backhoe in Texas. Steve is survived by his children Preston Pullman and Courtney Thomas (Bobby), his mother Marlene Pullman, his siblings Chris Pullman (Julia), Cindy Brinn (Bob) and Diana Pullman, his grandchildren Avery and Noah Thomas and numerous other family members. He was predeceased by his father Fletcher Pullman. Everyone, friend and stranger, enjoyed Steve’s magnetic personality. He always made you feel special, like a best friend. Steve loved his life. In his own words from a Facebook post last year he said: “I love my friends! I really love you all. I am a very, very lucky man OOOOXXXXX.” Steve had a life full of fun and humor and stories and will be forever missed. His laugh and love will always live in our hearts. Please join us as we mourn his passing, celebrate his life and remember Steve-o. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11am at La Jolla Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: San Diego Rescue Mission P.O. Box 80427 San Diego, CA 92138 http://www.sdrescue.org/
