Obituary of Joan M. Narozniak

The family of Joan Narozniak come to you in sadness, she passed away On September 22,2018. And while those who are left behind will miss her laughter, her jokes and her love that she had for each and everyone of us. We are glad for her she will soon rejoin with our Father in heaven and will reunite into the arms of her family members who departed before her, husband Charlie, and her beloved son David Joan was born October 1 1929 in Brooklyn New York. She was the oldest daughter second to her brother to the parents of Charles H. Ball & Muriel Mercer Ball. She grew up in Brooklyn, New York. It was a very difficult time with the Great Depression. The family stayed strong and with there faith in our Lord they got through it. She loved growing up in the city going to Prospect Park, Time Square throwing a mickey (potato) on an open fire in empty lots on a cold winters night. She loved sharing her stories of New York going to Corny Island with her best Friend Anne of 85 years. She married in 1948 and resided in Long Island, NY, where they raised two sons. In 1956, they moved west to San Diego, CA, where they brought a daughter and another son into the family. Joan went to business school to start her career as a secretary. In the early sixties she got her first secretarial job at General Dynamics. It was an exciting time for the aerospace industry she loved working with space travel, she was so proud to be part of it In 1967 the family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. Joan continued her career as a secretary in the aerospace industry. As her children grew and got married she was blessed with seven grandchildren. She loved being a mother and a grandmother, but most of all a grandma. She had many wonderful memories with her grandchildren After retiring Joan and Her husband moved to Washington State where they lived for 16 years. They enjoyed life in the Pacific Northwest. They were members of the Meadow Glade SDA church in Battle Ground, Washington. They moved back to San Diego in 2010. Survived by children: Chuck, David (deceased), Sheryl and Randy. Grandchildren; Joanie, Jenny, Reggie, Ryan, Rick, David and Krista. Great-grandchildren; Caitlin Hayden, Charles, Jacqueline, Makenzie & Grayden , and her Brother and sister Gordon & Lucille along with other family and friends. A memorial will be held on October 13 at the Escondido SDA church 1305 Deodar Road, Escondido at 3:00pm.
