Sung Moon Oak

November 2, 1955 to September 8, 2017

     Sung Moon Oak (A.K.A. Geno), age 61, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2017, at home with wife and daughter-in-law by bedside. He was born on Nov 2 1955, in Korea to Richard Oak and Bok Ja Oak. In his early 20’s he joined R.O.K (Republic Of Korea), marine. He enjoyed music very much and was in a total of three music bands, Black Sense, Lee Myung Hoon band, and Nogojilee band. He also produced music for a karaoke company before he moved to the US and was well respected in the music industry.
      He received his college education in America. He and his wife Helen were civilly married on Dec 25 2003 , in San Diego. He worked as a barber for most of his career at Sal’s Barber Shop. Geno truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with his customers, friends and family, playing games at casino and enjoying good meals at home. Geno had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. His customers commented him as a mellow but warmed heart person. He is survived by his mother, wife, Son, daughter-in-law, 2 sisters,1 brother and 5 grandchildren, 2 step daughters, other nieces and nephews. Family, friends, and others whose lives.
