Ria was an amazing woman! I met her when she volunteered for the San Diego Sockers. I was the Events Manager and she worked with me and a great group of soccer lovers who made things really happen before, during and after the games. Ria and I did a lot of events together and she became a very good friend. We kept in touch after the Sockers “took a break”. I followed her on FB and we’d see each from time to time when she was in town. I will deeply miss Ria. Sweet, giving, friendly, funny, hardworking and she’d give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. Please accept me deepest heartfelt sympathy. We will see her again! Death isn’t a destination, it’s a doorway! God Bless you!

Dearest Cheryl and Hans, So many memories of birthday celebrations and Ria’s Deliberation over what restaurant to go to...like that crazy tiki place. She loved whatever present you brought her; jumping about in excitement and flashing her lavish smile. Whatever she found interesting she was passionate about. I remember her being a Sea Cadet and planning a career match and her first exposure to nursing school. Ria was so very brave about her car leak. When we visited after her first surgery she gave us the entire medical story and a tour of her incision. Ria was and is a bright spirit not to be overlooked or underestimated....she is the shine in your heart and eyes. Looking forward to seeing her again. Jennifer and Terry
