Gregory Lawrence Scott, age 40, was killed suddenly on Saturday, June 17, 2017. A resident of San Diego County for 13 years, Greg was born in Canada to father Glendon and mother Patricia (deceased 1996). In high school he met Christy, and the two married in 2003 and had two children, born 2008 and 2010.
Greg was a rabid hockey fan and player, motorcyclist, and plane enthusiast. He was known as an immense nerd with a penchant for inappropriate t-shirts and disassembling things; who knew he would also become great at reassembling things. He will always be remembered for his humility, sense of humor, quick wit and passion.
Greg was the FBO Manager at Crownair Aviation in San Diego; held an Aviation Management Degree (Mount Royal University 2001), a Commercial Pilot’s License with instrument multi-engine, and land and sea ratings, and was in the process of earning his Airframe and Powerplant License from the FAA.
Greg’s main priority was always his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father, a beloved son and brother, and will be forever missed.
Gregory is survived by Wife, Christy; children, Jacob and Isabelle; Father Glendon, Step-Mother Marilyn; brothers, Stewart (Angela), Danniel (Chrissy), and sister Jessica; in-laws, the Dunning Family; and a loving extended family.
A Celebration of Greg’s Life will take place on Friday, June 30, 2017, from 1-4 p.m. at Crownair Aviation (3753 John J. Montgomery Drive, San Diego, CA 92123).
