Ellen Harder was born May 17, 1915 in Ellendale, North Dakota and passed away on January 29, 2018 in San Diego, CA. She lived in San Diego for over 37 years with her husband Aaron Harder who preceded her in death in 2012. Ellen is survived by her three daughters; Marilyn Foster from Cudahy, WI; Juanita(Annette) Subriar from Hemet, CA; and Renee’ Harder from San Diego, CA. Ellen had five grandchildren; Chuck Foster, Jr., Jeanette Foster, Jeremy Subriar, Jason Subriar and Jaime Subriar, and five great~grandchildren; Aubrey, Joe and Olivia Subriar, and Ellizabeth and Alex Badders.
Ellen lived a very full and rewarding life, respected by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her career in nursing spanned over sixty years from the East Coast to the West Coast. After Ellen’s retirement she volunteered her nursing duties for several years. For the past five years, Ellen has been cared for in her home by daughter Renee’.
Ellen will be greatly missed. She had a beautiful smile that warmed the hearts of all who loved her. She gave her best in life, and wanted to be ready, along with her family, to go home with her Lord and Savior.
Ellen’s funeral service will be Saturday, February 10th at 3:00 p.m. at Paradise Valley Church in National City, CA. There will be a graveside service on Monday, February 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Shafter Cemetary in Shafter, CA.
