Gerrie was born in Helena, Mt. to Jim and Gertrude Kinney Hardgrove. The Hardgrove Kinney families were early Montana pioneers in the area. They moved to Townsend where she graduated valedictorian of her high school. She attended business college in Great Falls, then worked in Helena & Townsend in various government jobs.
She married Alex Antonette in 1945 & daughter Carole was born in 1946. We moved to Lemon Grove, CA in early 1950’s where they bought property and were active in the community. She was a member & president of the L.G. Women’s Club. She kept busy with bowling, square dancing, PTA, camping & elkonettes. She was also a long time member of the Townsend VFW. Alex passed away in 1967. She was a savvy business woman who continued to manage her property.
She then married Elmer Gill of Montana, a former high school boyfriend. Following his passing she married Dean White who also preceded her in death. She lived 3 separate & active lives, cruising on Sea & in her RV’s following her retirement from the S.D. County DA’s office in 1977.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved brother Gene Hardgrove & sister Grace Hardgrove. She is survived by daughter Carole (David) Wooley, several nieces & nephews, step children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, & sister-in-law’s.
She was witty, fun, adventurous, generous, kind & loving to those around her. She touched many lives & the world was a brighter place because of her. She will be missed by all.
