Bruce Wayne Dawley

November 24, 1950 to June 4, 2017

A beloved son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Survived by his mother, Shirley Dawley, three brothers George, Gary, and Darrell, three daughters Tamra, Bunny, and Chelsey, grandchildren Zakree, Savanna, Katie, Shane, and Claire, and one great-granddaughter Zaylie.

Preceded in death by his father Bernard (Bud) Dawley.

Born on November 24th 1950 and raised in San Diego California. Bruce was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army he served in Vietnam and was a recipient of numerous honorable medals including but not limited to three Purple Hearts and The Bronze Star Medal.

His hobbies and interests included, long drives on the motorcycle, camping, fishing, desert trips, hang-gliding, and taking in the beauty of nature. He was a man of all trades, there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix, if there was he would duct tape it.

You traveled far and sacrificed much. You brought with you all that you were. You left the important parts of your abroad- returning with much you would have left behind, were you able. Your return was a struggle and pain, punctuated by the brief joys of your family and friends. You were loved, forgiven, and will live always in our memories. You will be dearly missed. May God bring eternal peace to your soul.

Tamra, Bunny and Chelsey I know there are no words that can make any of this better for all of you and your families, but you can keep him alive in your hearts and through the stories of his life. He will live on! Uncle Bruce, you were a wonderful Uncle to all of us. RIP
